Government academy path

A government-run or government-owned flying institute. Entry usually follows a published intake, and fees and eligibility are set by the institution or the state.

A good fit if:

• You want an airline career and can follow a formal admission process
• You are comfortable waiting for an intake notice
• You want a government-backed institution on your record

Before you apply, confirm with the school which licence courses (PPL, CPL) are run at the base you want. How the paths compare
