Flying clubs are the traditional route for hobby and private pilot (PPL) flying, and many also train towards a CPL. The pace is often more flexible than a full-time academy.

A good fit if:

• You are flying for the love of it, or testing the water first
• You need a flexible schedule around studies or work
• You want a club environment before committing to a full CPL

Before you apply, confirm with the school which licence courses (PPL, CPL) are run at the base you want. How the paths compare
